Yassine Chueko was already inspecting the stadium's conditions and the protection from the fans to the pitch days before the match between Monterrey and Inter Miami. Messi's bodyguard was making sure it was difficult for fans from the stands to get to Messi, and Chueko noticed the fence the fans would need to leap over to get to the pitch.

Messi and his bodyguard didn't need to worry about his safety since the Monterrey fans in the stadium were warned about going onto the pitch. On X, Monterrey released a statement warning fans who invade the pitch in the match against Messi's Inter Miami. The fans who would invade the pitch would be arrested and suspended from all the stadiums in Liga MX.
