Victor Osimhen is one of the best strikers in the world, and he has been on the radar of some of the biggest clubs in Europe. Osimhen was rumored to be an option for Real Madrid, PSG, and Chelsea last summer and is once again chased by them this summer. While Kylian Mbappé is close to joining Real Madrid this summer, Osimhen's destination could be at PSG to replace Mbappé. Chelsea is still very interested in the player after the player mentioned his desire to play in the Premier League last month.

Osimhen continues to torment the Serie A as he scores a hat trick against Sassuolo in Napoli's 6-1 win away from home. The Nigerian has 11 goals and three assists in 15 Serie A games for Napoli this season. He has missed many games due to injury and his participation in the AFCON Cup with Nigeria, where they finished runners-up after losing the final 2-1 to Ivory Coast.

Napoli's president, Aurelio de Laurentiis, spoke with the Financial Times and answered the question of whether Osimhen was leaving Napoli this summer. Laurentiis said, "Will he leave? We’ll see. Napoli is a fantastic place; some players fall in love with it and stay for 11 years like Hamsik. Then there are others that are attracted by Real Madrid, PSG, Arsenal, Manchester City, and Chelsea. We can’t stop them, especially when they have a release clause that allows them to be bought."

Laurentiis doesn't specify what Osimhen's release clause is worth

Many reports suggest that Osimhen's release clause at Napoli is worth around $130-140 million. Laurentiis does not say a specific number of the release clause but says, "He has a release clause; it’s a lot of money. Will he leave? We’ll see. Money is the last of Napoli’s problems. We’ve always made great signings, and we’ll continue to make them. When a player leaves it’s like your son leaving, you’re happy if that son has a lot of success somewhere else.”
