Real Madrid has many legends the club has seen over the years. From Zinedine Zidane to Raul, the Spanish giants have welcomed many legends back in good spirits. This has not been the case with Cristiano Ronaldo, who is one of the greatest football players of all time. He is arguably the best player Real Madrid has ever had. Ronaldo is a club legend and is also the all-time goal scorer for Real Madrid with 450 goals. Despite this, Ronaldo has not received a tribute from Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu.

A club legend that will receive some tribute is club legend Sergio Ramos. Ramos has been the captain of Real Madrid for many years in the last decade. He is the 4th ranked player in Real Madrid's history with the most appearances at 671 matches played. This Sunday, Ramos returns to play at the Bernabéu for the first time after four years. He played his last game against FC Barcelona in March 2020. Ramos will play this time as an opposition player as his Sevilla team will play Real Madrid this weekend in their 26th La Liga game of the season.

The Athletic and Diario AS reports that Real Madrid will pay a small tribute to Sergio Ramos before the Sevilla match. The club acknowledges that this small tribute is not exactly what a legend like Sergio Ramos deserves, but because it’s an important match for both teams, they will still show respect and gratitude to him. The tribute will be small “out of respect for Sevilla.” Sevilla are 15th in La Liga with 24 points while Real Madrid are first with 62 points.
