Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the most important players in the modern era of soccer, having dominated the sport alongside Lionel Messi for many years. Despite being 39 years old, he is still a lethal striker and the proof of this is that in 2023 he was the player with the most goals, surpassing Kylian Mbappé and Harry Kane. However, even so, his market value has been declining for a few years now.

According to the Transfermarkt portal, the maximum value Cristiano Ronaldo reached in his career was 120 million euros when he played for Real Madrid. However, since he left the Spanish club, his value has fallen and is currently valued at 15 million. It is worth remembering that the Portuguese is no longer playing in European soccer, this after his abrupt departure from Manchester United, where he had problems with the Red Devils' coach, Erik ten Hag.

Since Cristiano Ronaldo left Old Trafford in what was his second spell with the Red Devils, Manchester United has not fared very well. Despite being the oldest player in the team, CR7 was the top scorer in the 2021/22 season, and since his departure, the club has not even managed to get into European competition.

However, there is one young player in the United squad who many believe could be the face of the club for years to come, as at 18 years of age, he already has a higher market value than Cristiano Ronaldo himself. While the Portuguese is currently valued at €15 million, this Manchester United gem is worth €35 million and is Kobbie Mainoo.

Mainoo's rise in value

Kabbie Mainoo, 18 years old, is considered one of the great promises of English soccer. A year ago, in March 2023, the Transfermarkt portal had him valued at just 800 thousand euros, but now his value is 35 million. In addition, he has a contract with the Red Devils until June 2027.
