This Barca player will look to break personal bad record against Real Madrid
This Barca attacker will look to punish Real Madrid for the first time.
FC Barcelona will take on Real Madrid for the Spanish Super Cup final. El Clasico will be a must-match because of the rivalry and the chance to win the first trophy this season. Xavi Hernandez acknowledges the Madrid team to be strong and will want to compete and beat them well.
Xavi enjoyed his team's performance in their 2-0 win against Osasuna in the semifinal of the Spanish Super Cup. The team goalscorers were Robert Lewandowski and Lamine Yamal. Xavi won't count on Joao Cancelo, Inigo Martinez, and Raphinha, who had a slight chance to play but are confirmed out. Xavi is looking to possibly start with four midfielders or play an attacking trio with Lewandowski, Ferran Torres, and Joao Felix.
Many Barca fans enjoyed the second half of their team as both goals came in that period. The substitutes, Pedri, Felix, and Yamal, positively impacted the game and want Xavi to start these players. One player to certainly start is Felix, who assisted Yamal in the second goal. The Portuguese winger nutmegged an Osasuna player before the assist to Yamal. If the Portuguese winger starts, he will be extra motivated to win against Real Madrid.
Joao Felix has never scored or won a match against Real Madrid
Joao Felix will look to break a personal curse against Real Madrid this evening as he never scored or won against Real Madrid after playing against them in nine official games. This includes his time with Atletico Madrid and his short time with Chelsea FC when the London club played Real Madrid in the Champions League last season. The Portuguese winger has a great chance to break one or both of those bad records today, especially if he starts in the Barca starting XI.
The Portuguese winger will also look to win his first trophy with Barca this season. What a great chance to break this personal curse with a trophy win against Barca's arch-rivals.
