Cristiano Ronaldo has been rumored to leave Al Nassr and the Saudi Pro League soon as teams like Bayer Leverkusen and Inter Miami were linked to him. The Portuguese striker seemed happy to stay another season at Al Nassr since his contract ends in the summer of 2025. Al Nassr and Al Hilal drew 1-1 yesterday in the Saudi Pro League, but in a controversial fashion. Al Nassr was minutes away from ending Al Hilal’s unbeaten streak in the league this season, but the away side was given a penalty. Ronaldo and Al Nassr were furious at the decision, and Aleksander Mitrovic scored the penalty to end the game 1-1. CR7′s reaction after the penalty was given surfaced online, and he couldn’t believe the decision to award it as a penalty. Now, many assume that Ronaldo may not want to continue playing in Saudi Arabia anymore, while Xabi Alonso and David Beckham are interested in him.

In the 95th minute, Sadio Mane fouled Saud Abdulhamid in the face with his arm. The referee called for a penalty, and after the VAR review, the penalty was the same. Many believe that the play was not a foul, and if it was, then the play was just outside the box. Al Nassr posted on TikTok after the match about this controversial decision, and Ronaldo fans online were begging the Portuguese star to leave Saudi Arabia as soon as possible because of controversial referee calls in the league in favor of Al Hilal over Al Nassr.

Ronaldo grabbed the assist for Otavio’s goal in the first 30 seconds of the match, and he laid it off to his countrymen outside the box. Otavio controls the ball and strikes the ball into the top corner past Bono to open the score. Al Nassr created many chances in the first half, which Ronaldo failed to convert, but it proved that the team could compete with the Saudi Pro League champions, who won the league last week in a 4-1 win against Al Hazem.

With Ronaldo upset about this game in Saudi Arabia, David Beckham and Xabi Alonso could potentially contact him soon. Beckham will have it tough since Ronaldo is under contract with Al Nassr until 2025, but Bayer Leverkusen could be more intriguing to the Portuguese star since they will play Champions League football next season. The Bundesliga champions look like a genuine threat in the Champions League next season if they keep the majority of their squad and if they bring Ronaldo into the team.
