Manchester United loanee Mason Greenwood is reportedly on a shortlist of forwards being weighed up by Spanish giants Atletico Madrid. The 22-year-old, who has scored seven goals while on loan at Spanish side Getafe this campaign, has not played for United since being suspended by the club in January 2022 following accusations of rape, assault and controlling and coercive behaviour. The case was dropped by the Crown Prosecution Service after a lengthy investigation that concluded last year.

Greenwood is out of contract in 2025 and is largely expected to leave Old Trafford in the summer, with Atletico the latest side to be linked with a move for the one-cap England international. According to the Telegraph, Diego Simeone's side are still in the hunt for a forward after a move for Juventus' Moise Kean fell through last month.

The forward, who it is claimed has "impressed other Spanish teams" with his performances in La Liga this season, has also been linked with a move to Barcelona. Back at Old Trafford meanwhile, United could be handed a boost in their rumoured pursuit of Stuttgart forward Serhou Guirassy, who was linked with a move to the Reds back in December.

Sky Sports claimed that United were "monitoring" the 27-year-old's progress in the Bundesliga, having scored 18 goals in his first 14 appearances across all competitions. According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Guirassy's release clause which was said to stand at $20 millions in the January transfer window, will remain valid in the summer transfer window.

Links in the Premier League

It is claimed several Premier League clubs are interested in the Guinea international. Links to Guirassy can be justified, with United underperforming in the final third this campaign and as a result, have only scored 31 goals in 23 games.
