They will compete in Major League Soccer, where they will try to qualify for the Eastern Conference playoffs, the Leagues Cup and the CONCACAF Champions League. The latter will be one of the main objectives of the year, as it is not only the most important tournament in North and Central America, but also awards a place in the Club World Cup 2025 to be played in the United States.

To rise to these challenges, coach Martino and the club's chiefs are working to recruit players to help raise the team's level. Six have already arrived: four of them were selected in the SuperDraft (midfielders Yannick Bright and Pep Casas and forwards Ryan Carmichael and Leo Afonso), while the other two are German midfielder Julian Gressel and Uruguayan forward Luis Suarez.

The latter is undoubtedly Inter Miami's most important signing in this transfer window, as he is one of the best forwards in the world and has shined for more than a decade in Europe, with Ajax, Liverpool, Atlético Madrid and Barcelona. With Los Blaugranas he played between 2014 and 2020, scoring 198 goals in 283 games and forming a wonderful duo with Lionel Messi.

Now they are reunited

One of the reasons why Suarez chose The Herons is to play with Lionel Messi again, as well as with Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba. They were all teammates at Barcelona and shone there for years. David Beckham, owner of Inter Miami, is very proud to have reunited them and so he shared a picture on social media where the four of them are seen playing together on the Spanish side and now training in Fort Lauderdale, along with the message "Boys are back in town". Undoubtedly, will miss them.
