Carlo Ancelotti has officially ruled himself out of taking charge of the Brazil national team. According to various reports, the experienced Italian manager will not be leading the Selecao, despite long-standing speculation linking him with the role. For now, he will remain with Real Madrid until the end of the season, at which point his future will be decided.

Brazil had been hopeful that Ancelotti would guide them through the next World Cup cycle. There was even said to be a verbal agreement in place. However, talks have cooled significantly in recent weeks and the deal has ultimately fallen through. The Brazilian Football Confederation is now turning its attention to other candidates.

One name that is gathering momentum is Jorge Jesus. Currently managing Al-Hilal, the Portuguese coach is emerging as a serious option. His successful spell at Flamengo earned him great respect in Brazil, and his international experience only strengthens his case.

That said, his potential appointment comes with a degree of controversy. While in charge of Al-Hilal, Jesus reportedly played a role in the decision to part ways with Neymar Jr. due to the player’s repeated injury setbacks. This has caused some tension and may complicate matters should he be offered the national team job.

Nevertheless, Jorge Jesus offers an appealing profile for Brazil. He is tactically astute, understands the local football landscape, and possesses the strong personality required to lead a squad full of stars and expectations.

With Ancelotti out of the running, the Portuguese manager is becoming a frontrunner to lead the national side. His past success in Brazil and growing support from officials place him in a strong position to take charge of the team ahead of the next World Cup campaign.
