The LA Galaxy players that couldn't hold their excitement to play against Messi

LA Galaxy and Inter Miami drew 1-1 in Galaxy's MLS opener and Inter Miami's second MLS game of the season. Dejan Joveljic scored for LA Galaxy in the 75th minute, while Lionel Messi scored the equalizer in the 92nd minute. Messi was the game's focal point, and it's not an exaggeration as many fans in the stadium, including LA Galaxy fans, were there to see the Argentine icon. Some LA Galaxy players also praised Messi's presence at the game, and they showed it after the game ended.

Many players asked for Lionel Messi's shirt after the game, but the player Messi gave his shirt to was LA Galaxy attacker Diego Fagundez. Fagundez played for 70 minutes of the game and quickly approached Messi after the game for his shirt. Fagundez posted a picture of him holding the Messi shirt the Argentina legend gave him. Fagundez's wife, Ashely Chavarria, posted an image on her Instagram story of Fagundez and Messi next to each other chasing the ball during the game. Fagundez's wife wrote, " I can't wait to tell Mila how cool her dad is."

The goalscorer for LA Galaxy, Joveljic, also praised Messi after the game. The Serbian striker posted on Instagram a picture of him and Messi standing next to each other during the game. Joveljic wrote in his caption, "When you play in front of the greatest and in front of the best fans, the dream is to rise to the level of this event."

Lionel Messi and Argentina's friendly against Nigeria next month is canceled

Initially, the game was to be played in China but moved to the USA due to the Messi-Hong Kong drama. Argentina will now play Costa Rica in Los Angeles on March 26th.
