Sport reports that FC Barcelona needs a big sale in the summer, and Frenkie de Jong is one of the candidates to leave. The Dutch midfielder played in the Barcelona vs PSG match last night in the Champions League. De Jong is valued at $74 million on the market but the Catalan club may ask up to $105 million for teams that are interested. De Jong has already caused interest in the Premier League and Bayern Munich.

Bayern Munich and Chelsea were reportedly willing to offer $100 million to the Catalan club for De Jong, but the player and the club rejected it. Now, it may look like the club is open to hearing offers for the player this summer to improve their financial troubles since he has played fewer games this season due to injuries.

This season, De Jong has played 29 matches in all competitions for FC Barcelona. 19 of those matches were in La Liga, and he scored two goals but had no assists. He joined the club in 2019 and has made 212 appearances for the Catalan club. During these past five years, De Jong has scored 17 goals and has provided 21 assists.

Frenkie De Jong's reaction to the 4-1 loss by PSG

In FC Barcelona's 4-1 against PSG in the Champions League last night, the Dutch midfielder only played 82 minutes. The midfielder spoke after the game and criticized the referee. De Jong said, "The referee must understand that people have emotions; the first reaction may be aggressive, but then they calm down. He starts by showing the cards to everyone, and this is not permissible. We were eliminated & it's a big blow. We're disappointed, but now we're focused on El Clasico."
