On Instagram, a post about PSG's Kylian Mbappé being praised included a comment from Neymar, with a harsh comment that reads, "Gringo b*lls s*cker." The post read, "Mbappé showing once again that he is a good man. But the villain of a poorly told story. Mbappé has a 'competitive spirit'. People confuse a man who wants to win everything with a bad guy.” Fans were shocked to see this, even though reports suggested that both player's relationship was broken at the end of the last season at PSG.

However, some clarified the comment not being towards Mbappé but instead towards the Brazilian Instagram account. The reason for Neymar's comment was to refer to the Brazilian problem, where Brazilians often criticize everything Brazilian and praise everything European. It still comes off a bit wild to see the Brazilian comment a harsh term under a post praising Mbappé, which could also suggest that the tensions between the two are still high.

Neymar has 220 million followers on Instagram, while Mbappé has 113 million followers. Both players do not follow each other despite spending six years together at PSG. PSG signed both Neymar and Mbappé in the 2017 summer transfer window. Mbappé arrived at the French club for $191.1 million from AS Monaco, and Neymar joined from FC Barcelona for $235.7 million. The pair played 136 matches together at PSG.
