Gerardo Tata Martino spoke after Inter Miami's first victory in more than 4 months. Inter Miami has not won since last season in Major League Soccer, in fact, it is the first victory in five friendly matches.
Beyond reflecting on the game, Tata Martino wanted to apologize for the absence of Lionel Messi, and the entire press conference revolved around the Argentine's physical condition.
These were some of the words of the Argentine coach: "He has an inflammation in the adductor. We have had images that we have taken of him in Arabia. We take him day by day but we always have the expectation that he can evolve. The medical team told us that it was very risky for the footballer to play in the game. I apologize to the fans for his absence and I understand his disappointment."

Inter Miami will play a couple more games to finish the world friendly tour. Now, they will play in Japan against Vissel Kobe, the club where Andrés Iniesta recently played. Then, they will face Newell's Old Boys on February 15, the club where Messi began his professional career.
