Manchester United has hinted at rebuilding the team completely ahead of next season after new co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe has hinted at building a new team. The English owner is ambitious for the club's future and wants everything at the club to work well. He has plans on working on Old Trafford and adding important members to the Man United board. Ratcliffe also wants a salary limit for players who are soon to join, and now the club is looking for players who will not be needed for next season.

Raphael Varane and Casemiro are the favorites to leave the club this summer due to their high wages. Casemiro earns around $443k a week, while Varane earns $431k a week, according to Capology.com. Anthony Martial seems like another option to leave since he reportedly earns around $316k a week and has been injury-prone for most of his Manchester United career. While Sir Jim Ratcliffe wants these players gone due to their high salaries, it doesn't mean the English owner isn't willing to spend big this summer. The club hopes to gain funds from player sales in order to bring young players to the squad.

One of the targets for Manchester United is Joao Neves from Benfica. Man United has been interested in this young midfielder but stepped back due to the price tag he has. Mirror Football reports that New Manchester United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe is set to approve a record-breaking offer of just over £100m to secure the signing of Benfica's teen star Joao Neves this summer. The signing would cost a minimum of $128 million this summer.

Ratcliffe's plans for Old Trafford

Daily Mail reporter Chris Wheeler reported that Man Utd backs Sir Jim Ratcliffe's plans to knock down Old Trafford and build a brand new state-of-the-art stadium. Ratcliffe said, “The north-west of England has a greater concentration of major football clubs than anywhere else in the world, yet we don’t have a stadium on the scale of Wembley, the Nou Camp or the Bernabéu.”
