Silence the haters, Barcelona forward Joao Felix receives love from his teammate

Barcelona enjoyed a thrilling victory today over Real Betis four to two which saw Ferran Torres score a hat trick and saw Barca survive an Isco brace. The other goalscorer of the game was Joao Felix, as the Portuguese scored the winning goal as the clock hit 90 minutes. It was a beautiful finish from the loanee as he finished it with his weak foot, and it showcased the talent of the former wonderkid.

Joao Felix has been dreaming of playing for Barcelona since he was a kid and securing a dream move was the greatest feeling in the world for a player. Although it was not the permanent move that the player hoped it would be, being able to wear the famous kit was more than enough. And the player enjoyed a wonderful start to life in Catalonia, but soon it went downhill.

Felix started the season on fire scoring goals, creating goals, and it looked like the club had potentially found an answer at the LW position. Felix would eventually hit a wall and the regression started. He looked like the player that struggled at Atletico and it had looked like he had gotten past that. The doubters started creeping up again and the narrative had once again switched on Joao Felix, could he change it.

A good step towards that was the goal he scored against Atleti which wound up being the winning goal. Silencing his former and current doubters was a great start. Felix has seen an uptick in form since that goal against his parent club, which leads to today. With his confidence up, Felix is playing more freely. That confidence was needed today in his cameo, and it led to the winner being scored.

Teammate support is crucial during your toughest times, and Felix has the backing of his teammates. He especially has the backing of his national teammate who is also a loanee at Barca in Joao Cancelo. The fullback sent a message to the forward on Instagram which said “Let’s go, my boy Joao Felix... Let them talk! Nothing beats talent.”
