Shocking! Al Nassr look to pair Cristiano Ronaldo with his former star teammate

Al Nassr look to secure the services of this Manchester United player and reunite him with Ronaldo

Ronaldo set for a reunion with one of his teammates from Madrid

Exits are looming at Manchester United whether it be in January or in the summer. The club is looking to shrink the squad in the upcoming windows as they look to raise funds to improve the squad. In the past United would not care about raising funds as they had all the money in the world, but the money has now dried up. The financial situation at United is quite dire and sales might be the quickest way to help fund a rebuild.

However, that is easier said than done as the club has been one of the worst selling clubs in the Premier League and has rarely made a profit from a transfer in the past decade. One of the last occurrences of a profit was when Manchester United sold Daniel James to Leeds United. On top of selling, United look to continue to clear their wage book, which has been a huge stumbling block in the past.

United have gotten rid of their highest wage earner in the past two seasons with Cristiano Ronaldo, and then David De Gea, and they look to make it three in a row with the departures of Raphael Varane or Casemiro. The departure of Varane looks more likely as his contract is set to expire at the end of the season, but a departure for the Brazilian is also a real possibility.

Manchester United need a number six and with the emergence of Kobbie Mainoo this season, Manchester United could look to cash in on Casemiro and buy a younger six with that money to pair with Mainoo. Casemiro has faced injury issues this year, and with him not getting any younger, plus the high wages, United would be tempted from the right offer.

Cristiano Ronaldo looking to recruit Casemiro

One avenue for Casemiro’s departure is the Saudi League. With the league looking to continue its goal of becoming an elite league, what better signing than a Real Madrid legend and Brazil’s captain in Casemiro. According to Foot Mercato, Al Nassr are looking to sign the Brazilian at the request of his former teammate CR7. They say the player would be open to a new challenge.
