Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique expressed satisfaction with his team's 3-0 victory over RB Salzburg in the Champions League on Tuesday, but acknowledged that they still have work to do to secure a place in the knockout stages.

Despite the convincing win, which lifted PSG out of the bottom of their group, Enrique was quick to point out areas where his team needs to improve. The Spanish coach admitted that the performance, while positive, was not up to the standards he expects.

Behind the Victory: Enrique Highlights PSG’s Flaws

"Football is a very unfair sport, the standings are very tight, one goal can make the difference and we still have two important games ahead of us. We can still be eliminated," Enrique said. "This was not a better game than against PSV or Atlético de Madrid; I would even say it was worse, but that's football. We know we have to improve and the squad hasn't changed much. We need points and we're going to try to win the next games."

The victory over Salzburg was crucial for PSG, who had struggled in the Champions League prior to this match. However, with tough fixtures against Manchester City and Stuttgart on the horizon, Enrique knows that his team must be at their best to progress.

One bright spot for PSG was the performance of full-back Nuno Mendes, who scored a goal and impressed with his attacking play. Enrique praised the Portuguese defender, highlighting his versatility and ability to contribute both defensively and offensively.

"Nuno brings other solutions thanks to his physical and technical qualities," said Enrique. "He can complete the triangle in defense or play further forward. Right now he's playing higher up the pitch. He offers a lot offensively, but that could change."

While the victory over Salzburg was a step in the right direction, it's clear that Enrique is not taking anything for granted. With the knockout stages of the Champions League on the line, PSG will need to continue to improve their performances if they are to realize their ambitions of lifting the coveted trophy.
