During his press conference, Pochettino said he believes in his players and is disappointed in not winning the EFL Cup trophy a few days ago. Pochettino said, "We never set the team up to go for penalties. Come on. We tried to win in 90 minutes or extra time. Before extra-time and at half-time in extra-time, we said: come on, we need to go and win. We feel disappointed. Of course. It's Chelsea, and so it's about winning. I back my players. I will always be with my players. We have to accept the criticism sometimes. When we decide to come, we need to accept that it's Chelsea and accept you are playing for a team whose history is to win."

Chelsea talked about speaking with Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali, owners of Chelsea. Pochettino said, "The owners showed support to me after the final. Todd Boehly also sent me a nice message.
