Many believes that Joan Laporta has already informed Xavi that he will be leaving the club next week, and Hansi Flick will then become the new manager of the team for next season. Xavi’s face looked very serious, and many predicted that it would soon be official that the Spanish manager would leave the club.

Xavi being sacked wouldn’t also be the best financial idea for the Catalan club. According to Xavi Hernandez Navarro from DiariARA, Xavi’s contract runs until 2025, with no intention of giving it up. His departure will negatively affect Barça’s Financial Fair Play because compensation will be paid and a replacement registered. The negotiations will be long and could last until June.

Xavi could potentially coach his last match with FC Barcelona this weekend as it will be the last matchday of the La Liga season.
