Manchester City midfielder Kalvin Phillips, 28, is determined to leave the Citizens and his preferred destination is FC Barcelona. Although other teams are bidding for his services, including Atletico Madrid, the England international, who is not in Pep Guardiola's plans, prioritises playing for Barça.

However, the operation does not seem simple. In addition to Barça's financial problems, Manchester City are not willing to give him away. According to 'The Guardian', the 'Citizen' club has fixed his transfer at eight million euros.
Barça, who already closed the deal for Joao Cancelo in the summer, have a good relationship with the English club, which is managed by former Barça director Ferran Soriano in the financial department, and former Barça technical secretary Txiki Begiristain, who is in charge of sport, along with manager Pep Guardiola.
