With three months left until the Copa America tournament in the summer, Argentina looks to prepare with friendly games during the available international breaks like the one this month. Argentina wants to defend its title and looks forward to delivering another trophy to its fans here in the United States. Argentina will be playing two friendlies this week in preparation for the summer tournament, but they will be playing them without their most important player, Lionel Messi. Messi has not been fit for a while, and Argentina does not want to risk playing Messi ahead of the Copa America. Inter Miami is also worried and wants to have him back as soon as possible.

Messi has been sustaining an injury since the first leg of the CONCACAF Champions Cup Round of 16 against Nashville SC. Messi felt pain during the game and was out for the next game against Montreal. Messi played the second leg against Nashville SC but was out of the game early in the second half. The Argentine asked to be subbed off as he felt pain again and didn't want to risk anything. Messi then missed the last Inter Miami game in the MLS against DC United.

Messi was a big topic for the Inter Miami team after the DC United game, and many expected him to be back for the Argentina matches. Many reports suggest that Messi is injured with a muscle injury and will not play in the next two friendlies against El Salvador and Costa Rica. Messi isn't the only star player for Argentina who will miss these two friendlies.

Paulo Dybala and Marcos Acuña are out with muscle injuries

Paulo Dybala and Marcos Acuña suffered from a muscle injury and will not play in the next two Argentina friendlies. Marcos Senesi and Gonzalo Montiel are also out of the Argentina squad and now recently, Exequiel Palacios is also injured due to a muscular injury.
