Bayern Munich is still trusting Thomas Tuchel to turn things around despite having poor results in recent games. Bayern Munich has lost three games in a row. Thomas Tuchel and Bayern Munich are currently 8 points off Bundesliga leaders Bayer Leverkusen. As Bayern Munich suffered three consecutive losses, Bayern have started to look at options in case the results continue to be poor.

Bayern Munich suffered a 3-2 loss against VFL Bochum this past weekend. It makes it three losses in a row after losing to Bayer Leverkusen 3-0 two weeks ago in the Bundesliga and losing 1-0 against Lazio in the 1st leg of the round of 16 of the Champions League. Bayern Munich was rumored to sack Tuchel after the Bochum loss, but the board is backing him and believes the results could improve in the next few games.

The next game for Bayern Munich is against RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga. RB Leipzig this Saturday will be a tough game since Leipzig are 5th in the league table and beat Borussia Monchengladbach 2-0 last weekend. After Leipzig, Bayern will play Freiburg away from home. It will be another tough game since Freiburg is 8th in the league table and drew 3-3 against Frankfurt in their last league game. After the Freiburg game, the second leg of the round of 16 against Lazio at home in the Champions League will be played. If a loss occurs in that game, Bayern will have no choice but to sack Tuchel and replace him for the rest of the season. Bayern have looked at possible names to replace Tuchel, like Hansi Flick and Jose Mourinho, but the club wants to appoint an interim coach as they want a suitable manager for next season.

Florian Plettenberg reports that Bayern Munich are considering Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as a potential interim manager until the end of the season if they decide to make a change. Bayern would like to continue with Thomas Tuchel, at least until the end of the season. There is nothing concrete at this stage. The former Man United manager is a free agent ready to take over a new project.
