Football always produces world-class athletes that have become elite in the biggest stages. While football witnessed Pele and Diego Maradona, football then saw Zidane, Ronaldo Nazario, and Ronaldinho. After that, football saw Kaka, Lionel Messi, and Cristiano Ronaldo. The next generation seems bright as players like Erling Haaland, Jude Bellingham, Vinicius Jr, and Kylian Mbappé are seen as the next big things. Football legends like Rio Ferdinand have been following these player's trajectory, especially the English players. While Jude Bellingham seems to be the best player in England, Ferdinand couldn't help but compliment another young player who knows Bellingham very well.

Rio Ferdinand is a fan of Bellingham and even said that he thinks that he will win multiple Ballon d'Ors. Ferdinand said, "Jude Bellingham can go on & win Ballon d’Ors. I’ll be very surprised if this kid doesn’t finish his career with at least one, maybe two or three Ballon d’Ors, because I think he’s that good."

Ferdinand spoke the same way to another young player in Europe. He was born in England but represents Germany on the national stage. Ferdinand praised Jamal Musiala for his performance against Lazio with Bayern Munich in the round of 16 yesterday. For TNT Sports, Ferdinand said, "He’s a fabulous footballer. In a world where we talk about stats and data, he ticks that box, but it’s on the eye test where he comes alive. This guy has the potential to win the Ballon d’Or. I’ve said it before, he has the potential to do that if the path goes the right way for him and he’s in a successful team. The way he receives the ball, he’s elusive, he rides a tackle and gets through traffic. He’s a fantastic footballer."
