The duo of Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez was an effective duo that brought joy to FC Barcelona. They have now reunited at Inter Miami, and the two will play in the MLS in their first full season. After three games of the MLS season, the two are already showcasing their amazing partnership. With the help of Messi and Suarez, Inter Miami destroyed Orlando City 5-0 last weekend in the MLS. It was their third game of the 2024 MLS Season, and it seemed impossible for Orlando City to keep up with the former FC Barcelona duo.

Messi and Suarez had an amazing game as they scored a brace. Suarez started the game off on fire as he scored the opener in the 4th minute of the game with a lethal strike in the near post. Suarez scored his second of the game before the 15th-minute mark as his left-footed strike went down into the bottom right corner. Before halftime, Suarez did not finish with goal contributions. He passed the ball to Robert Taylor and scored a tap-in to make it 3-0 before halftime. Suarez had a brace and one assist in the first 45 minutes.

In the second half, Messi took the spotlight as he scored a brilliant brace. Messi scored a brace in under six minutes when he scored with his chest and with a header. Suarez assisted the Messi header and was also crucial to the first Messi goal when he passed the ball to Jordi Alba in the box. Alba chipped the keeper, and the crossbar cleared the ball out. Messi smartly fooled the Orlando players and scored with his chest.

Luis Suarez was named the MLS player of Matchday 3 ahead of Lionel Messi

Suarez deservedly was named the MLS player of Matchday 3. Although Messi also scored a brace, Suarez had a brace of goals and assists. The Uruguayan has four goal contributions in 67 minutes. After three MLS games this season, Suarez has two goals and three assists.
