It is no secret that FC Barcelona has not had the best of seasons, so much so that a couple of months ago coach Xavi Hernandez announced his decision not to continue in the position and announced that, at the end of the campaign, he will step aside and let someone else take the reins of the club, as he assured that the team "needs a change".

Since Xavi announced his decision to step down as Barcelona coach, several names have been floated as his replacement. From Jürgen Klopp to Pep Guardiola, many names have been rumored to take the former player's place at the club. Over the last few weeks, coaches such as Mikel Arteta and Thomas Tuchel began to be strongly linked with a possible arrival at the culé side.

However, it seems that neither of them will be Barça's coach next season. According to Mundo Deportivo, of the four candidates that have been discussed in recent weeks, such as Arteta, Tuchel, De Zerbi and Julian Nagelsmann, none would be chosen to take Xavi's place, although each for different reasons.

In the case of Arteta, it is because he has a current contract with Arsenal, the team with which he is fighting to win the Premier League; as for Thomas Tuchel, it is because they consider him to be a coach who is unpredictable and irregular. Julian Nagelsmann they consider that he lacks experience, while as for Roberto De Zerbi, they believe that he has yet to manage a big club and they do not want Barça to be his first experience of this type.
