Lionel Messi's and Neymar's influence in football is unlike that of other footballers in the world. Many Messi and Neymar fans like to purchase boots and jerseys that they wear. A month ago, Neymar teamed up with Puma to release the Neymar Jr FUTURE Creativity pack, which features some colorful boots. Lionel Messi will soon come out with new boots but for a greater cause than the previous cleats he has worn in his career. Messi has partnered with Planet to release new boots in the $Planet platform, and the cleats will be tokenized real-world assets, also known as an RWA.
The replica cleats exist as a physical item and as a digital token that can be traded on the blockchain. Planet wrote on X about the goal of these blue cleats, which is to promote this new project with Lionel Messi. Lionel Messi was seen in Inter Miami's team training ahead of the second leg of the CONCACAF Champions Cup Round of 16 against Nashville SC.
