Kylian Mbappé and France got three points in a difficult game against Austria in EURO 2024, as they won 1-0 in the Dusseldorf Arena. The goal from France came in the 38th minute as Mbappé's cross was then deflected by Maximilian Wober, who scored an own goal. Despite the win for France, their fans are worried ahead of the next couple of games after Mbappé left the pitch with lots of blood after a collision with Kevin Danso's shoulder. The new Real Madrid player went for a header in the 85th minute, but instead of hitting the ball with his head, he hit the shoulder of the big Austrian defender and was bleeding a lot. He left the pitch and quickly came back on without the 4th official's approval, and he got a yellow card. He was then subbed out, and the fans now know that he has a broken nose. This injury could keep a player out for six weeks, but the plan is still for the French star to continue playing in this tournament.

The French national team manager, Didier Deschamps, spoke after the match and said that Mbappé has suffered a broken nose. Deschamps said, "Kylian's nose is broken? Apparently, yes, his nose is not good at all. We'll see."

The French national team and the fans do not want to see Mbappé out for the rest of the tournament, and the player will likely risk his nose. Diario AS reports that Mbappé may have to play the rest of the EURO with a mask on. The player is very motivated to play in this tournament since he is the captain of the team and hasn't won this tournament for his nation.
