Manchester United will host Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford for their 21st Premier League game of the season. The Red Devils came from a 2-0 win in the FA Cup against Wigan. Their goalscorers from that game are Diogo Dalot and Bruno Fernandes from the penalty spot. Man United is currently 9th in the table with 31 points, and a win can bring them up to 7th with 34 points.

Man United's last Premier League was a 2-1 away loss to Nottingham Forest. Their last Premier League game at Old Trafford was last month when United defeated an impressive Aston Villa side 3-2, a crazy comeback win. Two returning players are available in the squad for the game against Spurs.

Lisandro Martinez and Casemiro return to the squad but will sit on the bench. United started with Onana in goal, who will leave for the AFCON after this game. Diogo Dalot, Evans, Varane, and Wan-Bissaka will be the back four. Mainoo and Eriksen will play in the middle of the park. In the starting XI, Garnacho, Bruno Fernandes, and Rashford will play behind Hojlund.

Tottenham's last game was their FA Cup 1-0 win against Burnley. Their previous Premier League game was on the last day of 2023 when they defeated Bournemouth 3-1. Their last away league game was their 4-2 defeat to Brighton.

Spurs also have returning players in the squad, along with new signings. Mickey Van de Ven returns to the starting lineup along with Cuti Romero. Vicario is in goal with Pedro Porro and Udogie in the fullback positions. Oliver Skipp, Bentancur, and Hojbjerg will play in the midfield. Timo Werner will make his Spurs debut as he starts on the left, along with Richarlison and Johnson. The other new signing, Radu Dragusin, is on the bench for this game.

Pre-Match quotes of both Erik Ten Hag & Ange Postecoglou before the Old Trafford game

Erik Ten Hag says, "There is a strong sense of optimism inside the club. I can feel it, both here and at Carrington. We have a clear direction and high ambitions, for this season and beyond." Sir Jim Ratcliffe will be watching the game in person for the first time since his 29% stake was announced.

Ange Postecoglou speaks on Kulusevski’s absence: "He's been ill the past couple of days. We had it run through the team, and unfortunately, he copped the worst of it, so he's forced to miss out."
