A new explosive chapter of instability has opened at Manchester United, this time featuring one of their bright young prospects: Alejandro Garnacho. In a season marred by a lack of trophies and failure to qualify for European competitions next campaign, the relationship between the talented Argentine winger and the club appears to have reached a breaking point. Reports indicate that Garnacho will not play for the 'Red Devils' again this season.

The drastic decision to sideline Garnacho is the culmination of a series of disagreements, peaking after United's recent Europa League final loss to Tottenham in Bilbao. Visibly frustrated, Garnacho let loose with harsh criticism regarding the team's situation. "It's tough for everyone after this season, which was sh*t, now losing the final and in the league where we didn't beat anyone. Honestly, it was very tough. We're going to try to finish the season and see what happens next," the 20-year-old reportedly stated in the mixed zone, according to Infobae and Doble Amarilla.

But his words went further, even questioning his role and tactical approach: "Many things were missing. When you don't score goals, you ultimately need more. Up until reaching the final, I played every round and helped the team. Playing 20 minutes today, I don't know," he expressed with clear annoyance over his limited participation in the final. This statement didn't go unnoticed by manager Rubén Amorim, who reportedly responded with an ironic tone: "Who wasted the big opportunity in the first half of the semifinal? Garnacho. Football is like that," Amorim stated, as per El Liberal, escalating the tension between them.

The coach's response and Garnacho's agent's subsequent defense failed to calm the waters. Sources close to the club, cited by outlets like AS, confirm that the relationship is broken, and his exclusion from the squad is definitive. With a market value around 45 million euros and a contract until 2028, his departure appears to be a real possibility.

Given this scenario, Alejandro Garnacho's future seems to lie away from Manchester. Italy's Serie A side, Napoli, has positioned itself as the primary interested party. Reports from TransferFeed and TyC Sports indicate that the Italian club has been preparing an offer that could reach 60 million euros, seeing the Argentine as a key piece for their project. Although Chelsea has also shown interest, Napoli appears to be leading the race.

Manchester United's crisis, extending beyond sporting results to include significant financial losses (no Champions League or Club World Cup 2025), could accelerate Garnacho's exit. His sale would represent a "pure profit" as he's an academy product, providing much-needed liquidity for the club in its current deep restructuring.
