Finaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaal
Kevin Mier takes the final cross, and Fischer signals the end of the match. Cruz Azul returns to the CONCACAF Champions' Cup final!
The campaign continues
Gorriarán and Angulo jostle with Orozco and Sánchez. Emotions are running high as Tigres' team is dying.
Corner for Tigres
Nahuel wanted to go, Pizarro told him to wait, it was still too early for him to join.
Too calm
Tigres takes a long time to create plays. There's no connection between defense and offense, and they lack a connector in midfield.
Bleeds Montaño
The light blue #10 has bleeding in the mouth and has had to leave for treatment.
Tigres' second goal disallowed
Second play; Antuna crosses to Joaquim, who sends it deep. Both are offside.
Double local change
#9 Ángel Sepúlveda leaves, #11 Giorgios Giakoumakis enters
Exit #15 Ignacio Rivero, enter #31 Amaury Morales
Nothing changes for the visit
Tigres still needs a goal, in this case, to force the next round. The tie isn't over.
Move Tigers
#20 Javier Aquino leaves the field, in his place #22 Uriel Antuna enters.
The brawl is starting on the benches
A row erupted among the players over the effusive celebrations of the home team. For the moment, little has changed for Tigres.
Goooooooooool by Cruz Azuuuuuuuuul
Nahuel managed to avoid the impact, but it wasn't enough, and Cruz Azul is in the final.
The maximum penalty is confirmed
The stadium stands erupt in jubilation. Vicente Sánchez and company debate who will be the ticket taker.
He's going to see her
Drew Fischer goes to the monitor to review Marcelo Flores's obvious handball. Cruz Azul is on the verge of making it to the final.
They ask for a penalty for the Machine!
An apparent handball inside the box after a shot by Ignacio Rivero. Marcelo Flores is on the wire when the action is stopped.
Defending with the ball
Cruz Azul now takes the ball, thus provoking despair among Tigres, who are unable to find a way to get on the scoreboard.
They move the ones at home
#8 Lorenzo Faravelli leaves the field, in his place #10 Andrés Montaño enters.
Nahuel again!
Two sky-blues beat the visiting defender's lone defender and Rivero once again misses the veteran Argentine goalkeeper.
Tense calm
There's no action in the goalposts, but the feeling that a radical change in the match will come at any moment doesn't fade.
They ask for a penalty
The match will not resume because the possibility of a penalty in favor of Tigres is being confirmed.
Tigres' first change
#6 Juan Pablo Vigón leaves the field, in his place #77 Ozziel Herrera enters.
Nahueeeeeeeeeeeeel
A great team play by Rotondi delivered the ball into the heart of the box, where Sepúlveda couldn't finish. Right in the goalkeeper's position.
Brunettaaaaaaa
A cross to the far post falls to the visiting number 11, who put it into orbit with a right-footed volley.
One more yellow
On a divided ball, Nico Ibáñez leaped to avoid Ditta's tackle, but fell on him, leaving the Sky Blue defender seriously injured. The feline player was warned.
Tigres insists
As at the end of the first half, Cruz Azul struggled to keep possession, allowing Tigres to grow and get closer to a tight "Máquina."
What are you doing, Vigón!
With space, Tigres approached the area, Córdova sent a free cross to Vigón who inexplicably let it go and missed the opportunity.
Mier reappears!
Error in the exit, Córdova finds the ball inside the small area and takes a left-footed shot that Mier well saves, close to his post.
Bogusz goes crazy
Great play by the Pole to free a pair, but instead of supporting a teammate in a better position, he chose to shoot completely wide.
The second half begins!
The final 45 minutes will see the clock, for now, be the allies of Cruz Azul's "Celeste Machine."
The first half concludes
Tigres squandered the last chance they had in their favor and is 45 minutes away from being eliminated from the Concacaf Champions Cup.
Two minutes of added time are called for in this intense and tense first half of the match.
Brunetta was late!
Cruz Azul was left in a bad position, and a one-on-one with Brunetta could not progress because the university player did not set up Córdova.
Angleeeeeeeeeee
An unbeatable service for Bogusz, who took his time defining inside the area and then 'Stitch' Angulo's providential tackle appeared.
Tigres grows
The emotional blow of losing the 'Toro' seems to be weighing heavily on Cruz Azul, who have already lost possession of the match and the boos from the stands have returned.
The change is confirmed
#21 Gabriel Fernández leaves the field, in his place #7 Mateusz Bogusz enters.
Actions resume
'El Toro' Fernández is off the field while play resumes. It appears the striker will be unable to continue.
Fallen on both sides
Gabriel Fernández (CZ) and Juan Pablo Vigon (TG) have muscle discomfort and the game is interrupted as rain arrives at CU.
Fischer's Hot Hand
Sebastián Córdova lost the ball in midfield, chased his thief Ignacio Rivero, brought him down, and the referee cautioned the former Águilas del América player.
'Lolo' cautioned
Gorriarán, putting forward an interesting counterattack, was brought down by Lorenzo Faravelli, who claimed that it was not worthy of a warning.
Nahueeeeeeel
A great play from the back ends with a cross from Rivero. Nahuel manages to get a handle on it, and we get a corner kick.
They ask for a foul
A surging Joaquim was brought down by Rodolfo Rotondi. It was a clear foul, possibly even deserving of a yellow card, and the infraction wasn't even called.
Tigres dissolves
Cruz Azul is gaining increasing prominence against a Tigres team that is no longer able to maintain possession and is forced to run the ball around.
First card of the match
Near the area, Javier Aquino brings down Ignacio Rivero and without hesitation, the referee gives the Mexican Tigres full-back a warning.
No Rotondi!
A great through ball for the Argentine midfielder, who dragged his feet and missed a chance that looked very dangerous.
Nahueeeeeeeeel
Purata made a mistake when he swung at a ball that fell to Sepúlveda. Nahuel made the save, and an offside position was subsequently called.
Both press high
Both strategists want to force errors, and both Tigres and Cruz Azul push their offensive lines forward when the opposing defense has the ball.
The 'Machine' is approaching
Cruz Azul looked to connect and get closer to the box. In the end, the defense won, and the "Máquina" had to rebuild.
Wheeeeeeeeeeee
Brunetta's long-range shot is sent over the crossbar by Mier with a left-footed flick for a corner.
First feline minutes
Tigres takes the initiative in these opening minutes. The visitors draw long possessions to the boos of the crowd.
Goal cancelled
A long pass into the box that Angulo recenters to Ibáñez. Both are in an offside position.
The meeting begins!
First play and first long-range shot, looking to surprise. Nothing further happens, and Cruz Azul has the ball.
