Cristiano Ronaldo has been shining at the beginning of 2024, with four goals in four official matches with Al Nassr. Now, his scoring streak will be stopped, as the 39-year-old Portuguese received a harsh sanction from the Saudi Pro League today.

It all started after Al Nassr's 3-2 victory against rival Al-Shabab, where Cristiano Ronaldo reacted badly to rival fans who wanted to bother him with the name Lionel Messi. Now, Cristiano received a financial fine and a one-match ban.

The Portuguese will have to pay a fine of €7,500 and in addition, he will not be able to play today against Al Hazm in the Saudi Pro League match. According to Saudi Arabian media, Al Nassr's fan club is already planning to sing Cristiano Ronaldo's name in the 7th minute, a gesture of encouragement to the Portuguese.

As if that were not enough, according to CNN, the Saudi Pro League stated that Cristiano Ronaldo's sanction cannot be appealed. "The disciplinary committee [SAFF] faces the biggest test. We will wait and see. Everything has its limits, no matter how big a star is. That's the big leagues," the league commented.

Cristiano Ronaldo's words about the Saudi Pro League:

"The league is very good, but I think we have many, many opportunities to continue growing. The league is competitive. We have very good teams, very good Arab players. But they need to improve the infrastructure a little more. Even the referees, the VAR system ...they should be a little faster. I think there are other little things they need to improve.
