Inter Miami will be missing two of their most important players in the squad this month, as Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi will be playing for their national teams in the Copa America, which starts next week. Messi was expected to miss out, but Suarez came as a surprise since he was not guaranteed a place in the tournament’s starting lineup. While Suarez is now training with the Uruguay national team ahead of Copa America, Inter Miami and the MLS gave him a special recognition of what he has achieved so far in the United States. The MLS revealed the best-selling jerseys this year so far, with Lionel Messi’s shirt being ranked first place. Suarez is the second-best-selling jersey in the MLS. He arrived at the club this year as a free agent, and his impact was similar to when Messi first arrived. Jordi Alba’s jersey is ranked 18th in the MLS best-selling jerseys, while Sergio Busquets is ranked 24th.

Suarez was so impressed this year with Inter Miami that he received the call-up for the Uruguay provisional squad for the Copa America. Many feared that he would not play in the national team during the Copa America since he was not called up for the friendly match against Mexico, which ended up being a 4-0 win. The last game he played for Uruguay was last year in a 3-0 win against Bolivia. He played a total of 138 games for the national team, scoring 68 goals and providing 39 assists.
