Real Madrid may have already made the signing of the summer as they signed Kylian Mbappé as a free agent. The French star is arguably the best player in the world, but the club still wants to make another star signing this summer. Over the past couple of days, Julian Alvarez from Manchester City has been rumored to leave the club for another club as the striker seeks more minutes consistently. He has been linked with clubs like PSG, Chelsea, Atletico Madrid, and FC Barcelona. Real Madrid is now linked with the Argentine striker as a report from The Athletic suggests that Julian Alvarez’s first choice would be Real Madrid if he decides to leave Man City. They also report that a departure this summer is unlikely, but Real Madrid could convince Man City to sell if an offer of over $85 million is made. Alvarez’s market value is worth more than $90 million, according to Transfermarkt.

Alvarez recently spoke about the rumors that multiple clubs are interested in signing him this summer as he wants to play more often at the club level. The Man City striker said, “I’m calm, I feel good, and I’m happy at Manchester City… and we will see what happens.” Although he mentioned that he was happy in Manchester, he did not guarantee that he would stay any time soon, which leaves Real Madrid and other clubs monitoring the situation.

Real Madrid fans have noticed that the Argentine striker used to wear the Real Madrid jersey and play in it when he was younger. He was not a part of the Real Madrid academy, but he played in the youth team for a game due to an invitation from Ramon Martinez, who was the former sporting director of Real Madrid. Despite this, it is believed that he was a big Lionel Messi and FC Barcelona fan when he was younger.
