Jose Mourinho is assessing the possibility of making a shock return to Manchester United, Mail Sport reports. Sources close to the Portuguese coach, who was recently sacked by Roma, reveal that Mourinho feels he has "unfinished business" since his departure from Old Trafford in December 2018 and has made it his mission to return if the opportunity presents itself in the future.

Mourinho's interest also centers on working with United's new regime, led by Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS, who have taken over soccer operations as part of the billionaire's 25 percent investment in the club. A close friend of Mourinho shared his ambition to return to United, explaining that the manager believes he has unfinished business after the way his previous spell at the club ended.

Mourinho's first stint at Manchester United, from 2016 to 2018, included winning the Europa League and Carabao Cup in his first season. Despite a second-place finish in the Premier League the following campaign, his tenure ended in 2018. Since then, Mourinho has managed Chelsea and most recently Roma, achieving the Europa Conference League in his first season.

He hates Mou

José Mourinho does not play by half measures at every club he has managed. For his players, he has been hero or villain. It's impossible to have a tempered feeling about Jose. You are either with him or against him. Well, one of these cases, is that of Anthony Martial, where through his wife Melanie Da Cruz in an interview in L'Equipe confessed the "suffering" that the Manchester United player lived when Mourinho was the coach of the team and how she had to stay out of it despite seeing how her husband had a hard time every day.
