It's without a doubt one of the saddest days for Argentina and for the world of football in general. Qatar 2022 will be remembered for several things, among them, Argentina and Messi being champions, and also, the impressive Argentina fans, led by one man: Carlos Pascual.

Carlos Pascual was passionate about soccer, Rosario Central and the Argentine national team. Today, at 83 years old after spending a stay at the Sanatorium de la Trinidad Miter due to a terminal illness. Carlos traveled to 13 World Cups, the last being the one in which he saw Argentina become champion for the third time, in 2022.

As if that were not enough, Carlos Pascual obtained enormous merit, being awarded by FIFA at the FIFA The Best ceremony, after winning the category of best fan of the World Cup! Carlos personified the Argentine fans and received the award on behalf of the thousands there.

Carlos marked a before and after with his bass drum:

“The first hype man to enter a world championship is me. I did reports for the whole world, I appeared in all the most famous newspapers in the world.
