The first leg against PSG will take place next week in the Parc des Princes on Wednesday, and the second leg will be played on April 16th at Barcelona. One of the players in the FC Barcelona squad spoke about the Champions League and looks forward to potentially facing his former club in the Champions League final at Wembley Stadium.

The player who expressed his joy at seeing FC Barcelona back in the quarterfinals of the Champions League is Ilkay Gundogan. He spoke with Sport about reaching the quarterfinals with FC Barcelona and responded to the doubters. Gundogan said, "Of course, we are happy now, and a lot of people didn't expect us to be in the UCL quarter-finals at the start of the season, but we have to keep getting better at making the right decisions in the key games. That's the key."

Gundogan did not want to get over confident ahead of the Champions League and said, "Well, we still have to keep our feet on the ground. I like that there is euphoria and optimism around the club, with the fans, but we have to be clear that we have to keep working hard. In a short time, you can go from being the favourite to being out of the competition."

Gundogan would like to face Manchester City in the UCL final

Gundogan was asked if he would look forward to a potential Champions League final against his former club, Manchester City, who he won a treble last season. Gundogan said, "A Barça vs. Man City Champions League final? I would love it, of course... But I would like to reach the Champions League final first, no matter who the opponent is. But yes, Manchester City are an extraordinary team and probably now have the best chance to reach the final, but as I said before, the Champions League is cruel and you never know what will happen."
