Ferran Torres reaches new milestone after hat trick against Real Betis

After it looked like FC Barcelona was going to drop more points in La Liga against Real Betis in the Benito Villamarin, Barca got two late goals to win 4-2. Ferran Torres grabbed a hattrick and got an assist in the Barca victory. Torres scored the first goal of the game in the 21st minute, courtesy of an assist by Pedri.

Torres scores his second early in the second half after Lamine Yamal hits the post. Real Betis would tie the game in under five minutes courtesy of an Isco brace. Barca looked dangerous late in the game when Torres found Joao Felix, who scored a beautiful outside-the-foot shot. Ferran would complete his hat-trick after a beautiful ball by Yamal was played to the Spanish striker. Torres anticipates the ball well and chips it over Rui Silva to make it 4-2.

Torres now has seven goals and two assists in 19 La Liga games. He only started in nine of those games, but he has nine goal contributions from those starts. Torres is the first Spanish international to score a La Liga hat-trick for Barcelona since Pedro in September 2013 and is the second top goal scorer for Barca in the league.

After the game, Torres said, "You must be mentally prepared to play for Barça. It is the best team in the world. I believe this is the result of work, discipline, perseverance, believing in oneself, and taking advantage of every opportunity on the pitch."

Xavi was very proud of Torres' performance, and the player even hugged him after scoring his third goal against Real Betis. Xavi said, "Ferrán Torres has turned the tables by himself.
