The Premier League is back with more charges for Everton FC as they charge them for more financial breaches. This time, the Merseyside club is not alone, as Nottingham Forest is also charged. Premier League clubs cannot lose a maximum of 105 million pounds over a three-year period. Everton has already been charged in November 2023 for overspending in the 2021-22 season.

Everton was deducted 10 points in November, and it affected them on the Premier League table as the club was in the relegation zone. It was the largest sanction in Premier League history, but it may not end there. According to Sky Sports, The club was in trouble for a "19.5 million pound overspend up to 2021-22 but heavy losses in the two Covid seasons, plus a 44.7 million loss in 2021-22" caused a second charge on them.

Everton released a statement saying, "The club must now defend another Premier League complaint which includes the very same financial periods for which it has already been sanctioned before that appeal has even been heard. The club takes the view that this results from a clear deficiency in the Premier League's rules."

Nottingham Forest are charged for overspending during the Championship. The limit for every Premier League team each season is a 35-million-pound loss, but their limit was 61 million instead of a 105-million-pound loss over three Premier League seasons. April 12 will be the date of the decision for these cases according to Sky Sports chief reporter Kaveh Solhekol.

Everton and Nottingham Forest could face a minimum six-point deduction; a second point deduction for Everton

According to Sun Sport, both clubs could face a minimum six-point education this season for breaching the Financial Fair Play [FFP] rules. This would be the second point deduction for Everton, making it a total of 16 points loss for financial breaching. If the point deduction happens now, Everton would go from 17th with 17 points to 19th with 11 points, and Forest would go from 15th with 20 points to 18th with 14 points.
