Manchester United's co-owner, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, has not hidden his ambition for the club as he tries to build a competitive team as soon as possible. The upcoming summer transfer window could be huge for the club as they plan to get rid of many players this summer. The club also plans to bring in a new sporting director and has already brought in a new CEO of football, Omar Berrada. The club is working to build a strong board to identify what players to bring in, but many reports suggest that the manager could also be a topic of discussion. Erik Ten Hag's future doesn't seem certain for next season, and the Dutchman could leave the club at the end of the season depending on what Manchester United achieve this season.

In a press conference ahead of the Brentford game, Ten Hag was asked about his future and the rumors circulating around the club. Managers like Gareth Southgate and Gary O'Neil have been linked to the club as potential new managers for Man United next season in case the club sacks Ten Hag. Ten Hag responded to the rumors and said, "When you are working in top football, you get used to it. So we don't care. Players don't care. I don't care. We are together in the boat and we know we have to perform and get the right results.”

When asked again about his future, depending on the results for the rest of the season, Ten Hag said, "You like it, to talk about. Of course, we have a different interest but we are not focusing on that. We are focusing on the process, focusing on the team to play better, to improve the way of play. So yeah, I don’t care about [it].”

Gary O'Neil responds to Man United rumors

Wolves manager Gary O'Neil responded to the Man United links in recent weeks. The English manager said, "Coaching role at Man United? No truth. I don't know where it came from. It’s an honor to be linked with Man Utd even though there is no truth in it… it’s one of the biggest clubs in world football it’s an honor. But I love it here at Wolves. I am a head coach, and I am always going to be a head coach."
