Cristiano Ronaldo's former manager at Al Nassr, Rudi Garcia, mentioned in the past that Ronaldo would return to European football after his time at Al Nassr and Saudi Arabian football is over. Ronaldo joined Al Nassr last year, and his contract expires in the summer of 2025. Some rumors suggest Ronaldo's next team will be at Inter Miami with Lionel Messi. The 2026 World Cup is getting closer, and while the Portuguese star doesn't seem close to slowing down, Ronaldo could consider playing at the highest level again to make the World Cup with Portugal in two years. When Rudi Garcia was in charge of Al Nassr, he said, " Cristiano Ronaldo is a positive addiction since he already gives defenders headaches. He is one of the best players in the world. He won't end his career in Al Nassr; he will return to Europe."

Rudi Garcia was Cristiano Ronaldo's first coach at Al Nassr. The French manager joined Al Nassr in June 2022, but his time with Ronaldo did not last long. Ronaldo joined in January 2023, but after poor results with the team, Garcia and Al Nassr announced that they would part ways by a mutual agreement in April 2023. In June 2023, last summer, Garcia was named the new manager for Napoli, but he only lasted five months with the Italian champions as he was sacked in November 2023.

Al Nassr had Dink Jelicic as their interim coach for the remainder of the 2022/2023 season after Garcia left, but the club appointed Portuguese manager Luis Castro in July 2023 to replace Rudi Garcia. Since then, it has been a decent season, but they cannot compete with the powerful Al Hilal, who, after 27 Saudi Pro League games, are still undefeated.

Cristiano Ronaldo's last game with Al Nassr

Ronaldo and Al Nassr's last game in the Saudi Pro League was a 1-0 win over Damac FC. Their previous game was against Al Hilal, where Al Nassr lost 2-1 in the Saudi Super Cup semi-final. Ronaldo received a red card, and Al Hilal beat Ronaldo's team three consecutive times in the past five months.
