Comeback at Anfield! Diaz and Salah score for Liverpool in a crucial PL game

Liverpool defeated Brighton and Hove Albion 2-1 in the Premier League at Anfield. Liverpool took advantage of Manchester City and Arsenal playing against each other this weekend as they got three important points for the title race. Liverpool are once again league leaders of the Premier League and are now on 67 points. The Reds were trailing really early in the game, but after many attempts at goal, Liverpool turned it around and gave their fans joy in this intense title race.

Liverpool started poorly after giving the ball away a couple of times. One of those led to a great counterattack from Brighton, which resulted in their opener at Anfield. A corner for Liverpool led to the goal as Salah met a poor heading clearance. Salah puts the ball in the box, and Veltman tries clearing it, but the ball falls to Luis Diaz, who is onside. Diaz pokes the ball past Bart Verbruggen, and it goes into the net to make it 1-1. Liverpool tried to find a second goal before halftime, and they were close as Nunez hit the post from the ground.

Mohamed Salah completes the comeback in the second half for Liverpool

Liverpool were relentless in the second half in search of the second goal, and it arrived at the 65th minute. Salah controls the ball and slots the ball past the Brighton keeper to make it 2-1 to Liverpool.

Brighton threatened late in the game as Liverpool sat back to defend their lead, and after 96 minutes played, the final whistle arrived, and Liverpool took all three points.
