Liverpool won another trophy under Jurgen Klopp, and it all seems amazing due to the game's circumstances. Liverpool arrived at the game with 11 first-team players injured. Ryan Gravenberch suffered an injury in the first half of the game, and Klopp had to sub in academy players to play in extra time. While the team and the Liverpool supporters celebrate, they will keep in mind Gravenberch's injury and another player, who was seen on crutches after the game.

Gravenberch was one of the last Liverpool first-team midfielders who was not injured. The Dutch midfielder received a late challenge from Chelsea's Moises Caicedo in the 23rd minute. The Liverpool player was stretchered off the field and replaced by Joe Gomez. Klopp was furious that Caicedo did not receive a card for the tackle and was annoyed to lose another player due to injury.

Klopp, after the game, talked about the injury and said, "There were two teams fighting very hard, and the referee didn't have the level of the game. It was not even a foul?! Then the fourth official explaining we cannot give a card, good idea. This situation was obvious for me, everything you need for a card. They did an x-ray [on Gravenberch], it is not broken but the ligaments got something. I actually feel really bad, but everything else is really good."

Klopp also mentioned how the team will play again in the FA Cup against Southampton in a few days. Klopp said, "We don't have a team right now for Wednesday. The guys who came on can maybe play again, the rest will get treatment on Monday. I love this country to bits, but the schedule is not made for winning a lot. We will see the price we have to pay, but we fight for everything then we see what comes next."
