Sport reports that the contracts of Pep Guardiola, Luis Enrique, and Mikel Arteta all end in 2025, and FC Barcelona has its eyes on all of these Spanish managers. FC Barcelona has a plan to convince Xavi to stay next season and then appoint Guardiola next year when his contract is up in Manchester City. Enrique and Arteta would be the other options the Catalan club will look at once their contracts expire with PSG and Arsenal, respectively.

Guardiola's salary at Manchester City reportedly earns around $24.9 million a year. Guardiola earned around $1 million for winning the treble last season with Man City. Guardiola would need to take a pay cut to join FC Barcelona next year because Xavi's salary is around $8.6 million. Guardiola may have to afford around $10 to $15 million due to the economic crisis the Catalan club is going through.

Guardiola joined Manchester City in 2016, and after nearly nine years at the club, the Spanish coach may want to return to Barcelona to help them rebuild once again. Guardiola coached 247 matches for FC Barcelona from 2008 to 2012. He averaged 2.36 points per game, and he won two Champions League, two FIFA Club World Cups, three La Liga titles, two UEFA Super Cups, two Copa del Reys, and three Spanish Super Cups.

Guardiola has coached 465 matches for Manchester City, averaging 2.34 points per game. With Man City, Guardiola won a Champions League, a FIFA Club World Cup, five Premier League titles, one UEFA Super Cup, two FA Cups, four English League Cups, and two English Super Cups [Community Shields].

Pep Guardiola aims for history this season with Manchester City

Although Man City was knocked out of the Champions League and did not win the English League Cup, the team could still win a double this season.
