FC Barcelona has once again set its sights on Liverpool winger Luis Díaz, as the Spanish giants look to bolster their attacking options. The Colombian international has been a standout performer for the Reds since his arrival from Porto in 2022, but recent contract negotiations have hit a roadblock.

According to reports from Mundo Deportivo, citing Teamtalk, Barcelona are monitoring Díaz's situation closely. The Catalan club is aware that Díaz harbors a deep affection for Barcelona and believe they could capitalize on his current contract standoff with Liverpool.

Despite being a key player for the Merseyside club, Díaz is reportedly one of the lowest-paid players in the squad. This has led to speculation that he could be open to a move away from Anfield, particularly if his wage demands are not met.

Barcelona Looks to Pounce on Díaz as Liverpool Contract Talks Stall

However, any potential move for Díaz would not be straightforward. Liverpool are likely to demand a significant fee for their star winger, with estimates suggesting a transfer fee in the region of €70-75 million. Additionally, the Reds are currently focused on securing a new contract for Mohamed Salah, which could further complicate negotiations for Díaz.

Barcelona's interest in Díaz aligns with their ongoing efforts to strengthen their attacking options. The Colombian's pace, dribbling ability, and goal-scoring threat would make him a valuable asset to Xavi Hernández's side. However, the Catalan club will need to navigate a complex financial landscape and fend off competition from other top European clubs if they are to secure Díaz's signature.

As the transfer window approaches, it will be interesting to see whether Barcelona can capitalize on Díaz's situation and lure him away from Liverpool.
