Real Madrid has received a tough blow just as the season approaches. Jude Bellingham underwent surgery on his left shoulder this Wednesday, confirming a prolonged absence from the pitch that will keep him out for two to four months. The news was confirmed by Dr. Patricia Núñez, who performed the intervention and detailed the severity of the injury.
The English midfielder had been struggling with these shoulder issues since his first season with the Los Blancos. The discomfort began in November 2023, and it was during a crucial match against Rayo Vallecano that Bellingham felt the pain become truly unbearable, affecting his performance and well-being on the field.
Dr. Núñez explained that it is a "very serious" dislocation, a condition where the humerus bone leaves its natural space, completely dislodging the arm and requiring immediate intervention. The good news is that, although serious, the surgery was not open, which reduces recovery time and the risk of complications, as shoulder exposure is minimal.
Bellingham is expected to return to the pitch by the end of the year, likely between November and December, to rejoin team training. The priority is to ensure a 100% recovery to prevent future relapses.
Given the unexpected absence of his star player, coach Xabi Alonso faces a dilemma in the midfield. The only viable and necessary solution to maintain the team's competitiveness is the signing of another midfielder who can cover Bellingham's absence. This acquisition is considered crucial to face the challenges of the tournament until the English player is fully recovered and ready to resume his starring role in the starting eleven.
