Although Cristiano Ronaldo is a huge name in the Saudi Pro League, Saudi Arabian teams have also signed important players who are at a great age to perform. Many consider the MLS a retirement league as players past their prime move there, but players in their prime have joined the Saudi Pro League. Ronaldo has vital teammates on whom he and the team can depend, such as Sadio Mane, Aymeric Laporte, and Talisca. One of these players is already considering returning to Europe and leaving Ronaldo with more responsibility in the team, but it also seems like Ronaldo's time in football could be over soon as well.

After just joining the Saudi Pro League last summer, Aymeric Laporte thinks that his future will be back in Europe soon. Laporte joined Al Nassr from Manchester City last summer after winning the treble. Laporte was linked to big European clubs like FC Barcelona, but he picked Saudi Arabia instead. Laporte has played 19 matches in the Saudi Pro League, scoring two and providing one assist.

One of the reasons he is considering leaving Al Nassr is not because of Cristiano Ronaldo. Laporte said, "My relationship with Cristiano is very wonderful. I was surprised by the many things being said about Cristiano Ronaldo. It bothers me that people listen to the lies that are said about Cristiano. We get along really well, and I think he misses me now. Cristiano is certainly a wonderful leader, has great potential, and is able to continue working wonderfully with the team during the coming period. I received several offers from Europe, but I preferred to join Al Nassr. It’s very likely that I will return to Europe in the future."

Laporte admitted that players are unsatisfied in Saudi Arabia

AS reported a story of Laporte admitting that some foreign players in Saudi Arabia are unsatisfied in the league. Laporte said, "It's a big change compared to Europe, but in the end, it's all adaptation. They haven't made it easy for us. In fact, there are many players who are dissatisfied. You negotiate something, and then they don't accept it after you have signed it. They fight you... It's a bit of a bummer that in Europe I don't know."
