Thomas Tuchel has been struggling with Bayern Munich this season and has lost three consecutive games. Bayern Munich and Thomas Tuchel announced in a statement that the club will have a new manager for the next season.

Thomas Tuchel had his first words in the statement about parting ways with Bayern at the end of the season. Tuchel said, "We have agreed that we will end our collaboration after the end of this season. Until then, my coaching staff and I will, of course, continue to do everything we can to ensure maximum success." Although they agreed to stop working together at the end of the season, there is a possibility that he will leave earlier. The Telegraph reports that if Bayern do not go through against Lazio, Thomas Tuchel remains likely to leave before the season ends. Bayern are currently losing 1-0 on aggregate.

The number one target for Bayern is Xabi Alonso to replace Tuchel this summer. Still, the Spanish manager is concentrated on managing Bayer Leverkusen, who could win a treble this year. Leverkusen are on course to win the Bundesliga, still in the Europa League, and in the German cup. Florian Plettenberg reports that Bayern has 'good to very good chances' of getting Alonso in the summer. Liverpool are also interested. This gave Bayern Munich to also target Jurgen Klopp as another option to become the next coach for Bayern next season. Klopp has stated that he will take a year's break after this season, but Bayern is interested in bringing the German coach in.
