The 1998 Premier League winner believes Arsenal need to strengthen in attack to challenge for major honors. Petit has highlighted the need for a prolific goalscorer and believes Osimhen, who has been linked with Paris Saint-Germain, fits the bill.

"I think Arsenal need one or two more players, especially in attack and maybe on the left flank, to rotate and bring more qualities as well," Petit told [Nombre del medio]. "They need a very good striker who can score goals. I really like Kai Havertz and sometimes Gabriel Jesus can do the job, but I really like Osimhen. I think he's also on PSG's radar. It's quite difficult. In the transfer market, especially in January, you sign big names, but with the new Champions League format, who knows, maybe something is possible."

Osimhen: The Striker Arsenal Need, Says Petit

Petit's endorsement of Osimhen comes as no surprise, given the Nigerian's impressive form for Napoli. The 24-year-old has been a revelation in Serie A, combining pace, power, and clinical finishing. His ability to lead the line and hold up play would make him a valuable asset to Arsenal.

However, signing Osimhen would not be easy. The Nigerian international is highly sought after by some of Europe's top clubs, and Napoli are likely to demand a significant fee for their star striker. Arsenal would need to be prepared to compete with the likes of PSG and other interested parties.

Nevertheless, Petit's recommendation provides a significant boost to Arsenal's pursuit of Osimhen. The Frenchman's legendary status at the club means his words carry weight with fans and the board. If Arsenal can secure the signing of the Nigerian striker, it would be a major statement of intent and could propel them back into title contention.
