Di Maria picked Emiliano Martinez as the best goalkeeper he's ever played with. Otamendi and Mascherano are the two center-backs on his team. Di Maria picked Marcelo as his left back and Sergio Ramos as his right back. In the midfield, he put himself along with Rui Costa and Neymar. Di Maria picked Lionel Messi as his right winger and Kylian Mbappe as his left winger. The striker he picked was Ibrahimovic.

Many football fans were surprised that Di Maria did not include Cristiano Ronaldo. Di Maria and Ronaldo played together at Real Madrid for four years, and the Argentinian included two ex-Real Madrid players, Marcelo and Ramos. Di Maria picked his former PSG teammates Mbappe and Ibrahimovic in the attacking positions where Ronaldo would play in.

He did mention Ronaldo when he talked about his Argentina teammate Alejandro Garnacho. It is well known that Garnacho is a big fan of Ronaldo and idolizes the Portuguese. Di Maria spoke about Garnacho celebrating like Ronaldo and said, "If I were Garnacho, the only thing I wouldn't do is celebrate like Cristiano Ronaldo. I would do like Messi does."

What is next for Di Maria in his career?

Di Maria plays for Benfica in his second spell with the Portuguese club. Benfica are second in the Liga Portugal table with 48 points and are a point below league leaders Sporting CP. Di Maria spoke about ending his international career with Argentina sooner rather than later. When asked about the Olympics with Argentina, he said, "I don't see it possible to be in the Olympic Games, I think it's over. The Copa América will be the last. It's the perfect moment to say goodbye to this jersey."
