Ancelotti considers Modric a former player and made him a disrespectful proposal

Luka Modric's situation at Real Madrid has changed drastically in just a few months. He decided that the role of the team's playmaker should now go to the English midfielder, who showed all his quality with important goals and excellent performances. Journalist Ramón Álvarez de Mon told La Tribu that the Italian manager made an unexpected proposal to Modric for the future of his professional career: that he continue at Real Madrid but no longer as a player, but as his assistant. While this is a generous proposal from Carlo, some consider it to be disrespectful, as it means that the coach considers the Croatian star a retired player.

He has another problem

In addition to his lack of involvement with the team, Luka Modric could face another problem in the near future. In case Kylian Mbappé's arrival at Real Madrid is confirmed, it is unclear what jersey number he will have. At PSG he wears the 7, but it is impossible for Vinicius Junior to give it up. Therefore, the 10 seems the ideal option, considering that it is the number that 'Kiki' wears in the France National Team.
